The Hospitalist Service

St. Joseph’s, in keeping with a tradition of providing Hot Springs area residents with cutting-edge health care, recently unveiled The Hospitalist Service, a team of physicians and nurses who specialize in caring only for patients during hospital stays.

During a patient’s hospital stay, the hospitalist will be in regular contact with the primary care physician to share information on their hospital stay. Hospitalists can be more available to the patients since they don’t have office practices. However, patients may also feel free to speak with their primary care physician at any time during their hospital stay, and once they are discharged from St. Joseph’s, they return to the care of their physician.
