Maternal Child Unit Facilities

To meet the needs of the expectant mothers and their families in our care, we offer a unique home-like environment. Each of our fully decorated, private birthing suites includes a special birthing bed and lounge chair for your comfort, as well as an adjacent surgical room in the event a cesarean birth is necessary.

Each birthing suite is designed so that you can go through labor and delivery in the same room. You may even remain there for the rest of your hospital stay, or you can choose to move to the post-partum side of the maternity unit.

St. Joseph's nursery has been bestowed the "Special Delivery Award" from the American Academy of Pediatrics/American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program for its commitment to teaching and practicing neonatal resuscitation skills. All staff are NRP-certified; with some being licensed instructors.
